How to list certifications on a résumé from this page: names and links by issuer

The rule from the intro is exact name, issuer, verification link. What that looks like depends on which of the 68 listed courses you took, because each issuer names and verifies its credential differently.

• Google Skillshop: a certification (Google Ads Search, Google Analytics) or, for Fundamentals of Digital Marketing, an award, not a formal credential in Google's words. Give the unique link per certification or your profile, plus the date: certifications last one year unless the certificate states otherwise.
• HubSpot Academy: a certification with a certificate and badge you can view, download and share. Most of the marketing and sales certifications here are valid for two years; Inbound Marketing Optimization lasts one, and no period is published yet for AEO Fundamentals.
• AWS: a Knowledge Badge or Cloud Quest badge, issued through Credly. Link the Credly page and use AWS's own name, for example AWS Knowledge: Cloud Essentials, never AWS Certified, which is a separate paid exam.
• Harvard CS50: a free CS50 Certificate issued at a unique URL for scoring at least 70 percent on the graded work. Name the course, for instance CS50x, and give the URL.
• freeCodeCamp: a certification published at a public URL under your username, showing your name, the certification and the completion date. Link it.
• IBM: the SkillsBuild Cybersecurity Fundamentals badge is on Credly; the Cognitive Class courses give a certificate of completion with no published verification link, so list them as certificates of completion and be ready to show the document.
• Stanford Medicine CME: a participation certificate through Stanford's MY CE portal, with continuing-education credit for physicians and participation hours for others, and no public verification link.
• Alison: Microsoft Excel 2010 is one of the few Alison courses whose digital certificate is free, labelled CPD-accredited.

A list of certifications for a résumé reads well when each entry answers a question the role asks. The records on this page group into five answers.

Assessed platform skills in marketing and sales

The Google Ads Search Certification and Google Analytics Certification are earned only by passing an assessment, as are HubSpot's Inbound Marketing, Content Marketing, Email Marketing and Digital Advertising certifications and, on the sales side, Inbound Sales and Sales Enablement. Fundamentals of Digital Marketing is broader, 40 hours across 17 modules, and its award marks completion rather than an exam. These belong on a résumé for a role that uses the same platform.

Cloud badges earned by assessment

AWS Cloud Quest: Cloud Practitioner (12 hours) is earned by completing hands-on assignments in a live AWS environment; the Cloud Essentials path (21 hours 55 minutes) and the intermediate Compute, Amazon EKS and Amazon ECS paths end in an assessment with an 80 percent pass mark. IBM's Introduction to Cloud (6 hours) and Docker Essentials (3 hours) are the certificate-of-completion equivalents.

Project-based programming certificates

freeCodeCamp's Responsive Web Design, JavaScript, Python and Relational Databases certifications each require five projects and an exam, and the Full-Stack Developer certification will sit on top of all six parts once its exam opens; freeCodeCamp's curriculum data marks it as coming late 2026. Harvard's CS50x (eleven weeks at 10 to 20 hours a week), CS50's Introduction to Programming with Python (ten weeks) and Web Programming are graded on weekly problem sets or projects plus a final project. These are the entries that pair naturally with a portfolio line in the experience section.

Data, AI and security course certificates

IBM's Python for Data Science (18 hours), Machine Learning with Python (20 hours) and Prompt Engineering for Everyone (5 hours) are Cognitive Class courses whose certificate of completion follows the platform's grading, in most courses review questions and a final exam with a 70 percent passing grade. CS50's Introduction to Cybersecurity (five weeks) and freeCodeCamp's Information Security cover security from the conceptual and the hands-on side respectively.

Short professional items

Stanford's Unconscious Bias in Medicine (1 hour) and Introduction to Food & Health suit healthcare résumés, where continuing-education credit is the point. freeCodeCamp's A2 and B1 English for Developers state a CEFR level, which is a recognised way to describe language ability.

Free certifications that look good on a résumé: the rule and its limits

What looks good is what survives a click. A relevant, current, assessed credential with a working link reads as focus; a completion badge in an unrelated field reads as padding. Two limits follow. First, expiry: Skillshop certifications last one year and HubSpot's one or two where a period is published, and Stanford's CME activities each carry an accreditation period, so a stale entry is worse than none. Second, names: freeCodeCamp calls its credential a certification, AWS calls its a badge, IBM calls its a certificate of completion, and inflating any of them into a professional certification invites the reader to check. This site makes no claims about hiring outcomes or pay; the credentials here show a standard was met, nothing more.

Skills and certifications for a résumé: connecting the two

The certification section says you passed; the skills and experience sections say what you did with it. The records on this page make that link easy because most of them produce something showable: the CS50 final project, the five projects behind each core freeCodeCamp certification, the solutions built in Cloud Quest, or a campaign you ran after a HubSpot exam. Name the artefact next to the skill and let the credential link confirm the rest.
