Responsive Web Design Certification

freeCodeCamp's entry point to web development and the first certification in its current Full-Stack Developer curriculum. The course teaches the fundamentals of HTML and CSS — modern layout, design, accessibility and responsive web development — through interactive lessons, workshops, labs, reviews and quizzes that run in the browser and check your code automatically. It is organised in four chapters. The HTML chapter moves from basic and semantic HTML through forms and tables and accessibility to a review, with a survey-form project along the way; a short Computers chapter covers computer basics; the CSS chapter is the longest, covering basic CSS, design, absolute and relative units, pseudo-classes and elements, colours, styling forms, the box model, Flexbox, typography, accessibility, positioning, attribute selectors and responsive design, with projects such as a page of playing cards, a book inventory app and a technical documentation page; the final chapter is the certification exam.

To earn the certification you complete the five required projects, which qualifies you for the exam, and then pass it. Everything is free: freeCodeCamp is a donor-supported nonprofit, the curriculum is self-paced, and it states that taking the exam is free of charge. The certificate is issued at a public URL on freecodecamp.org that anyone can check.
