Foundational C# with Microsoft Certification

A certification developed with Microsoft and listed by freeCodeCamp under its professional certifications. It introduces C# programming — core concepts, syntax and practical use in software development — through seven blocks: writing your first code using C#, creating and running simple console applications, adding logic to them, working with variable data, creating methods, debugging console applications, and finally the certification exam. The training is hands-on, with exercises and projects, and covers variables, data types, control structures and object-oriented programming principles, so that by the end you can use C# to build applications with confidence.

The six teaching sections are followed on the Microsoft Learn platform: each has a trophy you must earn there and then verify on freeCodeCamp, and only once all six trophies are verified do you qualify for the certification exam. The Microsoft Learn modules, the verification and the exam are free and the path is self-paced; freeCodeCamp states that taking the exam is free of charge. Passing the exam lets you claim the Foundational C# with Microsoft Certification, which is issued at a public URL on freecodecamp.org that employers can check.
