An older but still-listed Alison course on Excel 2010, and one of the few on the platform whose digital certificate is free. It works through the program's menus with practical exercises and sample spreadsheets: creating, saving and printing worksheets and applying templates; entering formulas and functions; using VLOOKUP to search data and IF to test conditions; turning ranges into tables; calculating with dates; spotting patterns with conditional formatting, sparklines and charts; saving and running macros; and working faster with keyboard shortcuts. A module also lists the improvements introduced in the 2010 version.
Alison rates it Beginner Level, lists an average duration of 6 to 10 hours, notes that the modules contain video, and marks the course CPD-accredited; it is self-paced and available in English. Study is free, and Alison's help centre lists this course among the nine whose digital certificate is also free, unlike the paid certificates on the rest of its catalogue. The page's own FAQ confirms that Excel courses on Alison cost nothing to take.
