CS50's Introduction to Programming with R

CS50's Introduction to Programming with R teaches programming through R, the language widely used for statistical computing and graphics. You work in RStudio and learn to represent data with vectors, matrices, arrays, lists and data frames; filter data with conditions; apply functions and loops to manipulate and summarise data sets; write your own functions and raise exceptions when something goes wrong; tidy data with the tidyverse; and build visualisations with R's grammar of graphics. The course ends with packaging, testing and sharing R code for others to use. Its seven weeks of material each combine a lecture, recommended shorts and a problem set based on real-world data sets, and there is a final project.

The course is free to take through Harvard's OpenCourseWare, with a free edX account needed to submit work for feedback. Scoring at least 70% on every problem and the final project earns a free CS50 Certificate, and a verified certificate is available from edX for a fee. Harvard says the course can be taken before, during or after CS50x.
