Introduction to Web Accessibility is the World Wide Web Consortium's foundation course on making websites and apps usable by people with disabilities, offered on edX. It covers what accessibility means and why it is essential for some people and useful for everyone, the range of people and situations it applies to, the business case, the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and other international standards, the four principles of perceivable, operable, understandable and robust, how to check a page for basic accessibility problems, how to plan and manage accessibility in a project and an organisation, and where to find W3C resources for developers and designers. No prerequisites are listed.
