Introduction to Canva

Introduction to Canva is a short video course on Alison, published by Lucrative Skills, for people who want to produce polished graphics without professional design software. Its single content module, Beginning Canva, has six topics. It opens with the basics of the tool: the homepage and side panel, signing up, and the subscription options on offer, with a comparison to Adobe Photoshop. A short detour into Wassily Kandinsky's ideas about shape and colour serves as creative motivation before the practical work: designing a logo and a monochrome version of it, choosing a colour palette to build a brand identity, and then drafting a presentation, customising and adjusting slides, animating them, adding icons and links, and exporting in the available formats.
