The capstone of freeCodeCamp's current curriculum. Unlike the other certifications it contains no lessons of its own: its single block is the Certified Full-Stack Developer exam. To qualify for that exam you must first earn the six certifications that make up the Full-Stack Developer curriculum — Responsive Web Design, JavaScript, Front-End Development Libraries, Python, Relational Databases, and Back-End Development and APIs — each of which requires its own five projects and its own exam. Passing the final exam earns the Full-Stack Developer Certification, which freeCodeCamp describes as demonstrating the ability to build complete, modern web applications from start to finish.
The entire route is free and self-paced: freeCodeCamp is a donor-supported nonprofit, all six component certifications and their exams are free, and it states that taking an exam is free of charge. Each certificate, including this one, is published at a public URL on freecodecamp.org that can be verified by anyone. Expect the full path to take a long time; freeCodeCamp does not publish an hour estimate on the page, and the six underlying certifications together are substantial.
