This is a single Microsoft Learn module rather than a full learning path, and it is one of a handful of Excel-titled modules in Microsoft's catalog; the other one aimed at everyday Excel users is also about Copilot, while the rest use Excel alongside Power Platform, Dataverse or Business Central. Microsoft lists it at 21 minutes, which we show as 0.4 hours. It has seven units read in order: an introduction, a unit on generating formulas with Copilot Chat followed by a hands-on exercise, a unit on summarising and visualising data followed by a second exercise, a knowledge check and a summary. The learning objectives are to generate formulas that calculate results quickly and accurately, to summarise data and build visualisations that surface key insights, and to automate routine Excel tasks. Microsoft marks the module as beginner level with no prerequisites and aims it at business owners, business users, administrators and technology managers working with Microsoft 365 Business.

Everything is free to read without creating a profile; signing in only adds progress tracking and lets you take the optional module assessment for a pass designation on your profile. There is no certificate, so we list it without a credential. Because the exercises use Copilot Chat inside Excel, following them hands-on requires access to Microsoft 365 with Copilot Chat, which is a product requirement rather than a course fee. For classic Excel skills without Copilot, see the Alison and Udemy Excel courses elsewhere on this site.
