AI Fluency

AI Fluency is a seven-module learning path published by Microsoft Philanthropies for people who want a plain-language grounding in artificial intelligence rather than a developer course. Microsoft's catalog gives a total of 278 minutes, which we show as 4.6 hours, and marks it beginner level. The modules run from AI basics, through generative AI, a look at how AI changes internet search, and responsible AI, before two practical modules on getting started with Microsoft Copilot and using it to boost productivity, closing with a module Microsoft calls AI for All. Each module is a sequence of short online units with a knowledge check at the end; there is no video series or graded project.

Like all Microsoft Learn training the path is free, and no account is needed to read it, although signing in lets you track progress and collect the completion trophy on your profile. Microsoft does not issue a certificate for learning paths, so we list this without a credential. It suits students, business users and managers who want to understand AI tools before deciding how to use them; the catalog also lists developers and AI engineers among its intended roles.
