Prepare and visualize data with Microsoft Power BI

This learning path is Microsoft's own version of its instructor-led course DP-605T00, delivered as free self-study. Microsoft's catalog lists it at 492 minutes, which we show as 8.2 hours, marks it beginner level and aims it at data analysts. Seven modules run in order: getting started building with Power BI, getting data into Power BI, cleaning, transforming and loading data, configuring a semantic model, designing Power BI reports, getting started with Copilot in Power BI, and an introduction to end-to-end analytics with Microsoft Fabric. Modules are text units with knowledge checks, and most include exercises you carry out in Power BI Desktop, which you install yourself; the Copilot and Fabric modules describe features that require a paid Fabric or Power BI capacity, so read those as orientation unless your organisation already has one.

The path itself is free, like all Microsoft Learn training, and can be read without an account, although signing in records progress and awards a completion trophy. Microsoft does not issue a certificate for completing a learning path. The related PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certification exam is a paid product that we do not list.
