Diploma in Basic English Grammar

This diploma course covers the core of English grammar for learners who want to write and speak more accurately. It starts with the parts of speech and how English sentences are structured, then spends most of its time on verbs: how the present and past tenses are formed and conjugated, how the passive is built, and the differences between tenses that are easily confused. A final strand deals with punctuation — what it is for and how to use it correctly. The course is self-paced and taught in modules that include video with assessments through the course; it is rated Beginner Level, and Alison lists an average duration of 6 to 10 hours.
