The course was excellent, but sometimes the jumps to the projects were somewhat pushing the limits of what it should be expected from a beginner. So, I struggled to complete some of them without the guided solutions (code along). The instructor speaks clearly and is very knowledgeable.

This course was great, and quite the bargain. I’d suggest it for just about anyone who is a beginner or even just needs a refresher; I now feel 100% confident that I can continue with more advanced topics without getting lost. The lecturer is clear, concise, and detailed in his explanations and covered the material in a logical order. The exercises are challenging but there are enough resources available to explain them if you get stuck. There are 22 hours of video, but with the exercises this course will take a lot longer if you take full advantage of all that is provided for you (with the capstone projects and exercises).

It’s a really good course but a little too condensed after some time.
The course starts by spending like 10mn explaining you how to install the software used to code, then around half of the course the new notions presented are really briefly and vaguely explained and it is really hard to understand how it works.
So I liked it, but I recommend adding another course after this one.
This is what I do, and the other course (100 days of code) became so much easier thanks to this course. So I don’t think once is better than the other. I think both complement each other by describing things differently with different examples. Therefore I recommend to take both courses.

Its a good enough class, the problem is not enough explanation is given as to why things work the way they do once the topics become more complex. The instructor does have clear English, and is very nice as he is going over material but moves quite fast through explanations or not deep enough, which is tough for people completely new to programming. I found myself referring other external sources for more in depth explanations and coming back to do exercises.
