VIDEO EDITING: HOW TO MAKE AN EPIC VIDEO
What you’ll learn
-
Create a short video using a GoPro
-
Edit in iMovie
-
-
Monetize a video on YouTube
-
Use music and editing tools to make lame look epic
Do you have awesome footage from your last vacation but never did anything with the beautiful footage? Footage is only as good as the final edited product and that’s why this course takes what seems like a scary editing challenge and turns you into a video editing hacking pro to get a quick result- a sick video! You don’t have to go to school for video editing (I didn’t!) you just need enough to get by and a few hacks along the way.
In this course we’ll cover:
- How to tell a visual story (Montage vs. Chronology)
- Importing video into iMovie
- Choosing Music (copyright free if you plan to publish for money on YouTube)
- Edit Action clips like a pro – slow mo, bass drops, blackouts
- Move past roadblocks: going through so much crap footage!
- How to Publish
- How to upload to YouTube
Who this course is for:
- This course is made for video editing newbies who are new to editing or would like to see how another person edit’s their own content. This course is probably not for you if you’re looking to learn more advanced editing techniques as we are pushing to complete a project and have a final video result.
- This is not a function & features of iMovie course. This is a conceptual EDITING course

This course is great because it includes and illustrates step by step the intuitive thought processes driving the creation. It was for this reason that I bought the course. Subjectivity aside, this instructor really delivered the learning in just the right way and with just the right personality.

Great information-thanks so much. I was thinking of going with premier pro cc but I like the KISS effect much better to achieve almost the same goal thru iMovie.

I follow Tim & Fin on Youtube, so it was really neat to see a bit of the ‘behind the scenes’ thought process that goes into making their videos. This course would be great if you’ve never even opened iMovie or any kind of video software, but as someone who uses it quite often I still found plenty of useful tips and tricks!
I would love to see them create a course that goes even further in depth, maybe even showing more of the Youtube SEO/monetization side of things.
Great quick course, highly recommend!

Thank you, I enjoyed your corse as I knew I would. I follow you and Tim on your adventures. You reassured my thinking about how important music is to your videos. Thanks again.

Dzięki Allison nauka to czysta przyjemność. Bardzo się cieszę, że trafiłam na ten kurs na samym początku mojej przygody z montowaniem video. Nie czuję się przytłoczona wiedzą, ale bardzo zachęcona to próbowania dalej i rozwijania się.

The curse is excellent for very basic learning. I wasn’t aware it was so easy to make videos! Allison is warm and clear so it makes it fun and simple to follow.

I have used iMovie before, but would have like to have seen how to make an epic video using video clips and inserting pictures to look a bit exciting as can be for beginners.
Melissa Henry –
It’s nice to watch videos with someone who has a personality. She takes all the way to basics without making you feel stupid. Thanks ?

I found some things useful, like the picmonkey.com referral. But much of the course was very basic.

Not so informative and the instructor is no so patient about teaching and prefer to skip things and didn’t even explain where to start what on the beginning of the course and the intro was terrible as well
