It was a pretty basic view of the camera and its settings. It just goes through each of the camera’s settings, what each does and recommended choices. (Prior to buying the A6000, I was using a point and shoot).
I would like to have seen more direct examples of how the camera worked in practice (outside the studio) and how to best use some of the main features of the camera (i.e. how the Panorama setting actually works). More tips such as you need to use a SDXC 64 memory card if you want to use XAVC S format. In 1 or 2 chapters the sound was off and sounded like it was coming through the camera mike as opposed to a lapel mike.

Covers all menu options on the camera, but instead of seeing all time the viewfinder and hear the explanation, almost all time we see the instructor talking. Some options need more examples.

This is a great course. It really brought more understanding in how to operate
this camera. I am so glad he is going through each function of the camera and explaining the menu on each tab. So far so good!!!!

If you are brand new to the a6000 this program explains the menus and functions beautifully. It is 1000 times better than the user manual. Buy this course if you have the a6000.

This course is a detailed explanation of all the menu items in the A6000. At the end, customization is your choice. I am more confident on what the all the options are for my Sony A6000 camera. Thanks.

A good overview of the functionality of the Sony a6000. I wish there was a better explanation of the Function Menu Set which the instructor said was important.

Nice way he puts all information without boring
Kendal Pappas –
Start with explaining terminology. “ISO” “Aperture”

For the sale price this is actually acceptable, but be aware that apart from the bonus color correction bit at the end which is only for videographers, this is a guy sitting in front of a camera just talking about the settings on the menu. There are essentially NO examples of what they do so you need to have some imagination or know something about photography to understand what he’s talking about a lot of the time. Definitely would NOT be worth full price, and honestly you can find just about as good menu run-throughs on YouTube.

not enough detail, key concepts and menu items are skipped over – “you don’t need them, just use x.” I bought this course to explain all the menu options, not just the basics to get started. Also doesn’t seem expert: “to be honest I don’t know what this does.” No examples of what the settings do to images (eg what high iso does, just says it makes it grainy, which some may not understand. why not show an example?). If you dont have much camera or photo knowledge and find the whole thing overwhelming, this will get you started, but it won’t explain all the ins and outs.
