I had to laugh out loud when the teacher was commenting on good and bad examples of food photography 😀 The course is super thick and several hours long. As I am taking notes, it’ll probably take another week for me to finish. Highly recommended for anyone who’d like to improve his/her photography skills. The teacher really knows his stuff

During the course, I wasn’t sure if I want to finish listening to it or not for the following reasons: A. The sound is poor B. There was no answer to my notes in the Q&A column C. There are no downloadable resources and D. No assignments at the end of at least in some lessons so I can practice and get feedback from my work through the course. So there is no way of knowing if I’m doing good or bad.

I really enjoyed the course. It is very easy to follow, explained in a very clear word, and systematic. The choices of the lenses, the camera setting, how to editing photo using the apps, tips on photo properties, those are really helpful. Thank you for the tip of DIY backdrop! I would really recommend the course. LOVED IT!

4 stars! Why? While this was a great course for beginners on Food Photography, I felt some of the modules were redundant such as having to edit images 3 different times. Maybe it’s because I already have knowledge of Photoshop. I did learn new ways to create “a story” with everyday household items such as towels, cutlery, and “eye candy” as he describes it. I wish he provided me with quizzes so I could test my knowledge and downloadable resources at the end of each section to review. This course was overall informative and easy to follow. If you are a beginner, this is the course for you!

I do not need Inspiration only knowledge. The course does highlight important areas of photography that I can use in my still life photography. A lot of the images seen do make me cringe especially the one with the line of treacle running down the centre which cuts the image virtually in half it would be a much better image if something like a spoon was shown. In Food Photography it appears that attention to distractions both within the image and on the edges are of little importance – as a season photo club member and often a judge if many of these images were put into a competition they would not receive very good marks for these defects. But overall i am having my memory refreshed and learning at the same time and enjoying the course.
