Of course I am hoping that students from India in particular, will join in the many discussions. The course asks questions; homework is set. We look at the work of current economists, current data (expressed in charts) and economic forecasts. No attempt is made to ‘judge’ merely to explore the situation as it now is, how it is projected – and then ask for comments.
The course is several hours long but not so long that you’ll never finish! The homework too is such that you’re encouraged to research and then report back via the Q/A – hence the title ‘Let’s talk about….’ …Economics Economics and then more Economics!
So if you are interested in:
a. Economics
b. Global economics
c. The economy in India
d. Microeconomics (as I also mention theory)
e. Macroeconomics (as we deal with inflation, growth etc)
f. Anything and everything Economics (as this course is developing)
BUT…..
If you do not like participating, do not like homework, do not like being asked questions – then this course is NOT for you. But if you want really current information, in-depth discussions, examination of the economy in India – then enrol!
Who this course is for:
- Students interested in economies throughout the world
- Students with a specific interest in India’s economy
- Student who are willing to discuss current economic policy

First of all, I just started this course but already its a 5 star for me. I have enroled in Chris’s other economics course – The Most Comprehensive (57 hrs! ) Economics Course (Diploma), which is a very detailed and comprehensive course in itself. I felt and shared in my review there that a country as large as India was not sufficiently covered, and within days Chris has come out with this India focus course which now I am relishing. Chris is the most involved and driven teacher that I have encountered anywhere Udemy or in real life which makes these courses of his extra special. More power to you Chris.

I have already experienced courses by Professor Chris Sivewright before. I wanted to enroll in a newly released course of his, in light with the current development that is happening in the world. And lo and behold I found this course today. Prof Chris is a fantastic human being, with a deep love to teach and help his students to acquire knowledge, not through passive learning but through active participation, discussion and research. He will sure push us to a certain limit as usual, forcing us to go deeper into the subject, so that we finally own the knowledge and the skill that the course is teaching. I like this approach and I am so happy and excited about how this new economic course is going to enfold, going forward…yes, expect lot of changes and updates to happen, because he will always keep everything relevant and dynamic for us.
