Paula Flores Bellé –
After completing Module 1, I decided not to continue with the course because it does not convey much reliability in the content shared. Although it is a course with business focus, the subject of academic research is still scientific so I believe it should be able to demonstrate that the information is reliable.
For example, the lecture on research aim, objectives and questions fails to make a clear distinction between the research aim and the research objective. The instructors says that the aim is “where are you heading with your research”, and follows by saying that the research objective will be a sentence saying “where your research is going”. These two definitions with their choice of words don’t support the student to understand the differences, but make it seem they are the same thing.
It was difficult for me to concentrate on the lectures due to the accent and of the instructor, so I read and re-read the material in order to overcome this. Reading the material gave me less trust due to the amount of grammar issues and the poor construction of sentences.
