Economics and politics aren’t a combination I would usually get excited about, but this course is interesting and made the more so by the inclusion of relevant and up to date news stories, and I felt I gained an insight into what the future holds for my children and grandchildren as a result of the political and economic decisions being made now and in the past. I think our grandchildren need to be taught Mandarin in school after listening to this. There was sound advice for real-world applications in terms of addressing our own personal economics and consumerist attitudes. I don’t think the gig economy is unique to the up and coming generation. I have spent most of my adult life in this economy – forced there by discrimination over health issues. I have no desire to put an end to the gig economy, but I would like to see people dealt with fairly, and taxed fairly. Currently, the government, in my opinion, preys on the people in this economy as a soft target, while letting the heavily lawyered wealthy alone, out of fear.

This was an excellent course. It covers the Teresa May’s reign as Prime Minister and how she deals with the problems she encountered with Brexit for example. Additionally it covers the way that the USA and the american public deals with their lives.

The tutor was very clear throughout the lectures with good explanations and diagrams. The video and sound quality throughout the course were excellent.

the tutor went into great detail on various topics, the bits I enjoyed the most was finding out the attitudes Americans have towards spending and the ways they look at savings and retirement for instance.

During one of my previous courses, I asked this tutor a general question and he came back to me within 24 hours, which is excellent.

Overall, I highly recommend this course to all of you and if this is the standard he sets, I am very much looking forward to some of his other courses, I don’t think you will be disappointed. Many thanks.

An excellent course which was very engaging throughout. Chris’ enthusiasm makes its enjoyable to study economics, and when I have had queries in the past the response time is extremely quick.

I highly recommend this course and all others created by Chris. Thank you!

The economics in this course was not very clear as to what the long words meant – without a google search.

Also the economics in this and all the economics courses that I have took have been about merely messing around with markets instead of making big money for everybody. I’m not saying this course is any worse than the rest of them but the world’s people need cash and lots of it and I think that this world’s economists are faffing around with their duties instead of trying to make everybody extremely rich.

What Donald Trump says about the Fed Chairman is right – but he only cares about America. Can economists make the world great?

I really enjoyed how Chris interlinked the US and UK politics and that with macro economics. As I am looking forward to work in the US or UK, it was interesting to have insights into their culture. I also saw various other videos related to this topic on youtube, so it did broaden my perspective.
As a student of Chartered Accountancy, I am familiar with economics but more to the laws and theories, so this real world macro economics seemed really interesting! Thank you

I watched the Section 1 even though English is my first language and I learnt so many new things! I was dreading a course in Economy as it not where I stand out, but I became more and more confident about learning it just because of the teacher and his teaching methods!
