social group project has few errors which are not cleared out (e.g. messages are not working, and in post_list.html groups are not shown).

Found this course to be really helpful in getting a better understanding of Django. I have tried some other Django tutorials on YouTube previously but they just walk through the steps to build a site without explaining why so clearly. I feel confident that I can go and build my own site now.
I liked that you repeated the steps for creating new projects from start to finish each time. I’m one of those people who can only absorb through hands on practice so it really helped me and for the last few projects I was able to go ahead and set things up without needing to follow along.

This is a very robust and thoroughly presented web development course. It is by far the most detailed course I have taken in web development.
However, it would have been nicer if the course was brought up to date in terms of the Django version used here. I had a few hiccups with version conflict but nothing a few Q&A and Google searches couldn’t fix.

Good introductory course overall, but a it is a bit outdated, and it does not teach APIs, which would be great.

Everything is great. Good choices of speed up or slow down video speed, good lecturer etc.
Two little minuses.. that little text thingy with “how many people marked video at some point” is really annoying, because i don’t know how to move it. When using different screen sizes sometimes it covers some information.
Second thing.. From my perspective, functions on js and python AND classes on python must have longer section for better understanding, starting with smaller projects, which are using more than one function AND then “game logic”. It was really hard to keep up and understand.
Other than that, everything’s great, thank you.

It’s partially my fault, as I didn’t check when the training was issued and last updated (2019!) but it doesn’t change a fact that this course is very outdated. I did some front end already from other resources so I was a bit worried when I saw what is being taught but decided to go on, as I knew how to work with newer versions of what was shown. However once I reached Django and I started to get errors one after another because of the old versions I decided to call it quits. Especially after I saw the comments, that just confirmed it’s useless to go on. There is close to zero help in the Q&A from the author as well. I will be moving on to another tutorial to learn Django. Pity.

Instructor is very good – very clear, provides good context for what he is teaching. Would be 5 stars but for the fact that there is no warning on deprecated syntax and you have to download yet another IDE – but small price to pay for great content and thorough instruction
