Sam Breach –
This is a great course for those people who already have a little knowledge of portraiture using up to two speedlights and who want to cement their understanding of all the techniques that can be employed. In this exactingly explained set of tutorials Anna outlines the building blocks that enable the photographer to learn the craft of lighting. She follows the technical breakdowns with examples of her own creative portraiture that will inspire students to take those newly learned skills and use them to create artistic imagery of their own.

I have been a photographer for a long time but find this course very useful. It’s highly informative, especially details of light modifiers, reflectors and placement. Though setup in a studio, this arrangement is quite portable.
The sections on Photoshop and Lightroom are also useful. Some artists rely on canned routines available as plugins, but a little bit of Photoshop technique goes a long way!
A clever, well-organized, lucid course.

Many of these courses start off I a huge studio with gear that most people, including me, can only dream off. This course is real and attainable by just about anyone who has the basic gear and willing to invest not too much in real terms.
This does not mean that McGunn Media are not up there with the best in their photography. I have completed their food/tabletop course and I not only learned a lot from it but have been inspired by the stunning pictures I have seen from them on Twitter etc. They are real people, approachable and, it appears to me, love what they do.
This course clearly shows you how to take great portraits and process them with relatively low cost and easily obtainable equipment. I now feel confident in trying out some techniques in my home as all the techniques shown do not require vast amounts of studio space.
Recommended.

Very interesting. I wasn’t expecting to be learning Lightroom and Photoshop as well as lighting, so that is bonus. I now know how to tell what kind of lighting has been used when I look at photos. Thankyou.
Jindra Aston –
honestly, this course highly not recommend
the main point is post editing performances and his own daughter as a model
The second thing that speaks a dialect is appalling
As written above not recommend
and one more thing, what we are teaching about light shows will explain friend for ten minutes, for free

Enjoyed the course and learnt a lot.
The little gem was the section on setting the lights using a lightmeter.
The set ups used a bit more gear than I had so it was difficult to apply all of these.
Well worth the time spent seeing the different views of the model at the end.
Would recommend this course.

Great course. Very practical with combination of the set-ups and pot-production. One of the best courses I have taken sofar.

Very nicely put together and very easy to follow. Highly recommend for everyone at all levels. Needs to slow down and do close up on how to edit more.

Loving every minute, and learning so much – thank you.
Wow, what can I say, except that you have exceeded my expectations on this one, I didn’t see it coming. I owe you a huge thank you, you have certainly given me much more to consider and to work with, well done
Mohammed Burney –
Great course for anyone on a limited budget wanting to get great results with just two speed lights. No more excuses to get your photography to the next level.

One one the better courses. Lots of examples. I would highly recommend if you are interested in learning how to best utilize your flash.

This is a very engaging course on portrait lighting. I’m an intermediate hobby photographer who has been learning how to use multiple off-camera flashes. I really like the systematic way that she is building the lighting and techniques. I’m not a big fan of shoot-through umbrellas (they kind of spill everywhere), but it has been very instructive. The Photoshop techniques are really good.
I’m sure I’ll be able to use the frequency separation in my work. Looking forward to the second half!
