I have had a fantastic time playing poi with Nick Woolsey in Poi dancing- Beyond the Basics. I finished this program over the course of two years; now I am clearing my progress and taking a step back to the beginning. There is so much relevant content I want to digest it all over again!!

Nick is a friendly, enthusiastic, professional instructor, wholly dedicated to this art-form, his Love and experience shine through in every video. There is no other product in the world at the moment that will deliver this level of value in fostering your growth and development in movement art.

Clinical trials suggest that taking part in this activity may deliver benefits in health and mental function comparable to or exceeding that of Tai Chi (http://www.spinpoi.com).

Nick Woolsey is a Grand-Master of Poi Spinning. We are so fortunate to have access to his wisdom, through a laptop, from anywhere with an internet connection. If you enjoy http://www.Playpoi.com you will be blown away by the value offered here.

If you are ready to take your understanding of Poi Spinning to the next level, enroll in this course!! Freedom of Movement awaits – Mox Freeman

It’s already to Nick’s credit, that everyone can learn poi from the scratch no matter where they are as long as they have internet access. All the brilliant videos he already put up on YouTube make this possible no matter if you have a spinning buddy. But with his new online courses he takes it all to a new level. Instead of randomly picking moves you want to learn, weather you’re ready for it or not you follow a systematical approach which is not only about learning certain moves but about building up the fundamental skills. So as you continue along the course you build up a broad foundation of the necessary motor skills, learn each move step by step, put it all together to the “full moves” and then go on to further moves which build up on the previous ones. But on the way you learn so much more which enables you to go on your own journey of exploring the world of poi. The course is so packed with ideas that every time you revisit the videos you’ll discover something new to practice. The icing on the cake is the possibility to ask questions and get helpful personal feedback. And everything is taught with so much enthusiasm and humor and so encouraging that it can make you a “poi-addict”.
So heed the master’s advice: Work on your skills, do the leadups, practice the moves, explore them and play with it all. It will take you far on the way to “poi-mastery” – and keep you busy at least for months, probably years. At the same time you have a source packed with ideas of how to teach poi to others. It’s certainly the best way to learn poi to be found on the internet.

Nick is a great teacher but I’ve had so much trouble trying to get the videos to play which drives me crazy I would give 5 stars if it weren’t for that

I had been following Nick Woolsey and others on YouTube for a while trying to piece together poi tricks, but was often choosing skills that were outside of my skill level but looked really cool (for example, Hyperloops) and ended up getting frustrated by not being able to put them together. When I decided to subscribe to a fully organized course, I saw my skill level jump considerably, as finally I was putting more focus on aligning my planes, cleaning up my technique, and working the proper progressions. I’ve found the Beyond the Basics course very helpful and inspirational for my poi play.
