So this is the second course, from a so called ‘instructor’ that has felt rushed, and sloppy in content. I felt that there was ‘some’ knowledge from the tutor to pass on. The lesson that looked into the Canon menu structure was very basic, it felt that because a certain menu wasn’t used, then it wasn’t spoken about at all. Also there is a massive difference in Canon menus between models of cameras, the instructor went into depth about menu settings that aren’t even on the starter level cameras. You are pointing out what is available to you on the professional entry cameras. Also the title of your course is ‘photography starter kit’ but there was no mention of what the TLAs on the side of the lens mean, types of lighting for beginners or where to buy off the shelve, beginner (starter) level equipment. Your instruction was based solely on your own personal kit and equipment.

Wow I learned so much, where to start. I didn’t know anything about my new camera so I was taught all the functions plus more. I especially loved the last piece about lighting as I’m a visual person and using the mannequin helped a lot.
When I say I wished there was a little more detail, ex: when you’re shooting outside I wished I knew the exact settings (ex: you said I turned it all the way up or down I was like clueless) that were being used at that point because everything I learned went right out the window when it came to hands on. Other than that very well done.

My camera is a slightly different model so some of the tutorial was hard to follow. Having said that, I have zero camera knowledge so I felt overwhelmed. I plan to re-watch this several times and play with each feature to familiarise myself. I feel this these beginner steps will be more comfortable once I have the opportunity to do this. Thank you!
