Much better course than it started out to be. One suggestion I have is that Phil remind us at each step what the opacity level for the brush and for the layer is as he goes along. He sometimes forgets to do so and it is difficult, if not impossible, to see for yourself. Otherwise, the lessons are very helpful and Phil’s technique is clearly demonstrated over and again. I learned to colorize my BW photos from this course. Thanks, Phil.

For a long time I have wanted to take some of the old B&W photos that I have of family and add color to them. My grandchildren don’t seem to get as excited looking at things in grey scale as they do in color, so I was hoping that these colorized photos would add a new dimension to what they are viewing and it seems to be working.
The instructor leaves you with a file that contains multiple colors he uses to paint a typical face, along with the type of lighting to apply and the opacity to use for each layer applied to the face. Knowing those items alone as a starting point have saved me a lot of hours getting up to speed on the learning curve.
The course has made an immediate difference in how well I am able colorize my B&W photos.

Yes, very informative, not too fast or complicated, given that you are familiar with Photoshop layers.
Was hoping for a few assignments though after each lecture just to hone in skills a bit more as the course progressed!

This was pretty average. I have two courses from this instructor and I have to say I have found them both to be pretty repetitive and his delivery almost puts me to sleep. I have got something from both courses but a more exciting, robust delivery would be welcome

I joined this class to learn more about colorization; so I can color in black and white photos of the Marx brothers. This class has helped me a lot with coloring skin; hair eyes etc.. I recommend this class for anyone who wants to learn more about colorization.

Great course that provides a lot of knowledge and skill practice. I have already “colorized” two of my own black and white photographs (old from the 1950s) and they look great. Thanks for a rather unique, superb course.
