Welcome to Paediatric first aid training.Â
This course is designed to give you the theoretical knowledge needed to accompany the Practical First Aid course to comply with the Ofsted requirements for a 12 hour course and fulfil the Ofsted Early Years Foundation specification in line with the 2021 updates.. This course does not seek to replace the practical element but allows you to undertake the on-line training at a time and place to suit you and then book onto a one day rather than two day practical course with us at one of our locations in London or Kent UK.
This course is also an excellent First Aid Training package for parents and child carers to gain invaluable knowledge at their own time and pace. It also serves as a superb resource for those with English as a Second Language to equip them with the vocabulary and language skills to pass a practical course and to refresh this vital knowledge on a regular basis.
If you need an accredited or regulated First Aid training qualification to be Ofsted registered, it is necessary to undertake a combine this online learning with a 1 day blended learning face to face Paediatric Course.
In the UK, it remains a legal requirement for at least one person with a valid full 12-hour paediatric first aid certificate to be available at all times within a professional child care establishment. This 12 hr course can be taught either as a 2 day face to face option or as 6 hrs face to face teaching and 6 hrs of online content.Â
The course consists of illustrated step by step directions, flow charts, diagrams, videos and a short test yourself section fully compatible with all computers and mobile devices. You will be able to stop and start as often as you like and on completion you will be able to print your Certificate.
It is impossible to cover all eventualities within this course, or to equip you with the knowledge and skills to appropriately diagnose and treat in unpredictable real life situations. If you suspect illness or injury, you should always seek immediate professional medical advice.
The Author has made every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information contained within the course, however this course is merely a guide and the Author does not accept any liability or responsibility for any inaccuracies or for any mistreatment or misdiagnosis of any person, however caused.

Beverley Dunkley –
I found it very, very informative, however in Section 9 there was no video of the lesson. There were a few typo errors through the lecture which could be misleading e.g. page 45 Effects of Heat – Hot “treated a person could offer heat stroke”….’offer’ should be ‘suffer’
Davina Fowler –
Brilliant lots of visual learning and constantly going over the information so you really understand. Very good and easy to follow I really enjoyed the online part as i was still able to look after my 5 children and do various jobs in between too without worrying about childcare. Easy to follow as I had to stop every half hour lol. Thankyou Emily look forward to the practical part should be fun too.
Dr Keith Bailey MBE –
St John Ambulance Trained but qualification is out of date. Very informative course, I enjoyed it very much.
Antoinette Smith –
I have learnt so much. This is a wonderful course. Thank you
Kathleen Perry –
The course tutor is very knowledgable and she shares the information clearly and consistently. There are a few issues with varying volume on some videos, but the information is excellent, so this is a secondary and minor concern.
Laura Caterine Gil Castillo –
apesar de lo poco que llevo eh aprendido cosaslas cuales no sabia su significado, ademas de como actuar antes circunstancias de emergencia.
Michael Hickey –
very well presented and clearly explained with useful examples and resources
Penny Hughes –
I understood from advert that I could do the online training and get a certificate to say I had completed an online first aid awareness course. Having got to the end I discover I need to attend a practical day in London or Kent. I live in South Wales so cannot do this. Hence my low rating! I feel I deserve a refund.
Carolyn Smith –
yes
Laura Ochoa –
I would have liked to see more real life pictures or videos, not only with dummies, but quite good.

I understood that I could do the online training and get a certificate to say I had completed an online first aid awareness course. Having got to the end I discover I need to attend a practical day in London or Kent and I live in another country. South Africa so I cannot do this.
I did however enjoy the course, Emily is amazing and I learnt allot.
I will need to find another course though to obtain the certificate that I require.
