The course was ok if you are a “beginner”.

Review of the all the available cameras was over done; 60% of the course focused on this, well into the scenarios.

The real gems of the course are in the scenarios and the post processing.

I really would like to see an advanced course!

Neil did a great job producing this course in a professional way. He starts with the basics and gradually advances throughout the course. Whether you are a complete newbie or somewhat advanced, you are sure to learn something new. I can’t wait to get out and apply some of these techniques on my own.

I love this course more easy to understand basic but most important element about night photograph. I enjoy the whole course, but it could be more better if there more detail or deeper explanation. Look forward to see new course from Neil Creek.

I’ve often done low light photography but avoided night photography because I seldom got anything worth while.
The comparison of the smart phone and bridge camera really didn’t interest me that much but it certainly convinced me not to use them in this type of situation.
I was amused during the fireworks session when your shutter release was not in correctly, you however corrected the problem quickly, I on the other hand, I would generally create a number of choice words that should never be heard by any creatures, large or small.
I enjoyed you course very much.

Great course, especially for those of us who have never done night photo work. Good detail on operation of the camera, which is essential to knowing why photos aren’t turning out like you expected. Liked the fact that the instructor was well organized and covered essentials without just filling the audio with meaningless ‘fluff’. Enjoyed the segment on fireworks, which I really wanted to learn more about, and that he did not try to ‘hide’ the mishaps…..we all know things don’t go as planned in almost every shoot, but especially in time crucial events like a fireworks show.

Good practical examples provided, quite informative. Just one suggestion, i would prefer clubbing few videos into one (like the videos where different cameras were compared), as the audience would like to know more about night photography techniques. Also would appreciate if you can tell us which camera app would you recommend for iPhone users.

Not quite as advanced as I was hoping – even accepting that it has been designated as a beginners course. It is over a year since I first watched this course and I hoped that it would have developed further by now – or, maybe, a new course altogether (hint, hint!)

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. Neil is very calm when he teaches which made me feel like I was in a very relaxed learning environment. While I have some photography background, I did learn something new from each section which is what Udemy courses are all about…learning.
