Florida teachers now have the option to take the FTCE Reading K-12 test in place of the 300 hours or professional learning courses for the required reading endorsement. Master the FTCE Reading K-12 test prep course has instruction and practice questions on all 9 competencies and 44 skills needed to pass this test. Each competency and skill has been thoroughly researched. They are explained in detail, with practice questions and answer explanations. By taking and passing the FTCE Reading K-12 Exam, teachers will have a professional reading endorsement to a current Florida teaching certificate.
As a hard working teacher who has been through the certification process, I was tired of seeing test prep companies charge high prices for online courses with limited access, so I created this course with unlimited, forever access at a reasonable price. If you would like to have this course in paper format, consider getting the companion book, Master the FTCE Reading K-12, which includes the same instruction, PLUS a full, 120-question practice test with detailed answer explanations, and 175 flash cards for the same price. Find the Master the FTCE Reading K-12 companion book on Amazon and on my website, elainechandler(dot)com. Just look for the orange and blue cover!
I wish you the very best in passing this test!
Who this course is for:
- All Florida Teachers
- Teachers who need the Reading Endorsement add-on to their professional teaching certificate

This course was amazing! I listened to it on my way to school each day and also purchased the excellent book. Things were explained in an easy to understand way and an added bonus – her voice is very pleasant! (compared to some others I tried…)
I don’t know where to ask a question so just in case you see this Ms. Chandler… do you have plans to make a course for FTCE ESOL exam? Pretty please? 🙂
Jessica Cooper –
I purchased tis course months before my test date. However, being me, I waited until the night before to go through all of the videos. Thank God I passed on the 1st try.
Wendy M Krajniak Couch –
I felt it was a good overview. I don’t think I am ready to take the test with just this, but it was helpful.
Priscilla Robinette –
Easy to follow, easy to listen to. I like how she gets right to the “meat” of the skills.
Sara Appleton –
She is very clear and concise> I do wish it had more scenarios.
Cheryl Currier –
Very precise instruction for some VERY verbose competencies…
Mary Cassaday Jones –
Well organized. I would like more interactivity and practice questions.
Sharon doria –
A statement on 2.1-2.5 diversity no mention of western European immigrants and their challenges. You can’t just ignor 1 group.
Bridget Mendel –
Great way to hone up for the test!

This lecture is simply reading bullets from slides with no additional depth or content. So many areas could have benefited from at least one example to expand on what was written on the slide. This was just a reading of someones outline notes. There is no indication that the person delivering this content has any additional depth or knowledge of the information since it is all just read verbatim from the slides. It is very boring and difficult to maintain any sort of engagement since the viewer can read the slides on their own and no new information is ever added during the narration.

Some of the answers read did not match the choices and some answer choices were incorrect which made it confusing. I wished there was a practice test at the end.
Nadya Acevedo –
It’s doable to listen while I work or drive.
