The good news is that there are proven strategies for neutralizing or minimizing the negative effects of cognitive biases. These “debiasing” techniques can be surprisingly simple and effective.

I was looking for a course on critical thinking but this was more about cognitive biases. Although I got to understand the link between cognitive biases and critical thinking, it wasn’t exactly what I wanted (considering that I searched for critical thinking on udemy, this came up as one of the top courses). It is a great course on cognitive biases and how to combat them. I think some extra content on identifying cognitive biases in arguments, opinions etc would be very helpful.

It was a good course, but I did not like the first section. Too many references to books and being read to from the highlighted sections. Good from Section 2 on.

Very interesting course and does provide you to think differently. However, I think it could be a little bit more interactive and cut down in time a little bit

It was eye opening and at times mind blowing how cognitive bias works. I would admit it takes effort to de-bias and start looking at issues in general using a wider perspective, but knowing how you may be susceptible to certain biases is a good first step. Thank you for this training!
