This course builds on the Level 1 and Level 2 courses on Intelligence Analysis to teach the student how to think in probabilities and structure their analysis to produce predictive intelligence. Upon completion of the course, the graduate will be able to use MS Excel to apply the Bayes Theorem to participate in forecasting tournaments and make specific intelligence predictions to prevent surprise.
Who this course is for:

I definitely learned a lot about different ways to understand probability. I would like to have seen more modeling of formulas & tools applied to real-world scenarios before having to apply the information independently. It was difficult to connect learning when going immediately from very concrete models (i.e. colored marbles in buckets) to extremely abstract scenarios (i.e. what are the chances North Koreans will launch land-based ICBMs in 2019) without an intermediary example. Almost all of the assignments in the course were a significant jump from the content presented in the lessons.

This is an excellent course on applying Bayes Statistics to real intelligence situations! Thank you for the time and effort you put into constructing this curriculum for us! All the best! V/R Bradley Anderson

too much teaching on the probability and not much on Operational or tactical Intel

This course is challenging, hands down, but it gives great knowledge on how to properly predict possible events. The Bayes theorem is the key thing I pulled out of the certification. It is helpful due to the fact that it evolves due to the amount of evidence being provided in one direction or the other. I will look more into the topic. The Utility trees and matrices are difficult due to the utility value being an assigned number rather than a mathematical set number, but this is where being in another person’s shoes helps the most. You use the value in order to predict what outcome a person/group wants which leads you to why they would want that outcome. It is difficult, but brilliant!

This was a great course. Level 1-3 helped learn new skills or confirm that its normal to get stuck in those mental traps.

It is actually a new concept for me. Where I am learning new concept from this topic. I am really happy to learn this course

Great course and subject- i didn’t realise how much went into intelligence analysis. The course got really tough at the end but the struggles was worth it.

Alot of examples to let us understand how to use those concepts
