A translation of the Bible is a translator’s “interpretation” of the text. The translator’s doctrines and beliefs will often influence how the text will be translated and anyone using his translation is seeing it through his eyes rather than through the eyes of the original authors. Only by studying the original language of the Bible can one see the text in its original state.Â
Learning the Hebrew language can be both fun and exciting. Upon completing this course you will be reading Hebrew, building a Hebrew vocabulary and even begin translating Biblical passages for yourself.
Who this course is for:
- Anyone interested in learning how to read the Hebrew Bible in its original language.
- This course is not for learning the Greek language of the New Testament.

Hebrew is not easy but the more I study and push through, it is rewarding!

Too fast and resolution of scanned resources is too low, making it hard to zoom in.

It went at a good pace at the begining, but then got challenging as we started to unpack Genesis. However it is a good course and I am enjoying it so far.
John Liow –
a lot to digest at times with the combination of the letters … will need to go over the videos at least 5 to 10 times to understand

Heel duidelijk en overzichtelijk. Niet te moeilijk en heel goed te begrijpen.

I am taking a biblical hebrew course at a local university but felt the pace was a little hard for me to keep up, I’m using this course as a suppliment to help.
I like that its broken up into smaller sections, whilst a traditional lecture would be 1.5 hours which can feel quite intimidating, here the lectures are 1-10 minutes long, its a perfect length to be able to review, rewind and to feel easy to do. It doesn’t feel like a challenge to sit for 5 minutes if you’re tired.
The lectures are well structured and easy to follow, the texts are from the bible from early on so that feels productive for studying the original texts. The teachers have replied to comments in the comment section and have even shared extra links and resources there. The small quizes are regularly spread out so it helps to know if you’re on track.
You can choose to speace it out and take a few weeks or months studying in depth, or you can choose to watch it in a few hours and focus on the areas you need extra help if youre using it as a supplamentory course like me.

Love the Hebrew being used all the time. It is great to see the Hebrew and hear the pronunciation and not have to look at the transliteration. I love the little pieces, letters and then syllables and then verses. It is at a good pace.
