I have taken 2 courses by Jose Portilla and I have not found even single course to be even average they are awful. Plese, don’t waste your money and time by taking any course from this instructor
Mariano Viola –
The course instructor breaks down a complex topic into simple and clear explanations for beginners like me. Makes it less intimidating and more easy to learn.
Joseph Townsend –
This course helped me to solidify my understanding of the python language. It also gave me insight into the types of questions asked during technical interviews and how to solve them.
Ekta Srivastava –
The coding looks a bit old. Python has now gone to Python 3 so maybe an update to the course could be made.
Beatriz Couto de Carvalho –
Got a job at the famous market place company with this course so yes I would def. recomend

This Course is NOT worth it, Python Bootcamp one is extremely well organized, this one lack clear explanations.

This is an amazing course. I use it together with Leetcode to prepare for interviews. It is very well organized and I just enjoy how Jose organizes his course. I highly recommend it.

A similar question to creating our own data structure stack class came up in my interview yesterday. During the course i was like what’s the point? We can import a library lol. But I was able to make the class in under ten minutes because of this course. THANK YOU!
Osman Hasan –
The second half of the course is terrible. Completely botches the explanations.
Allen Kung –
The course is good but some parts of it need more clear explanations and illustrations
Ojinnaka Njeze –
Jose needs to work on his explanation from shell sort to quick sort. The course was going well for me until I got to those parts, I had to go to a JS DSA course I took previously to understand their respective concepts. I like the fact that he shares resources for further reading.

The course should have focused more on the technical aspects of Data Structures and Algorithms e.g. what you can do with it, how can they be applied to real world problems, how to analyze Big-O, which algorithm/code would give certain type of Big-O so one can avoid, etc. Those barely scratch the surface. Instead, the course heavily focuses on different problems, but the technical aspect is very lacking. It’s more like a coding exercise which scratches on the surface of Data Structures and Algorithms. As for the Interview sections, even though I had fun from it, it isn’t useful or helpful.
