Become a Calculus 1 Master is organized into the following sections:
-
Limits & Continuity
-
Derivatives
-
Applications of Derivatives
AND HERE’S WHAT YOU GET INSIDE OF EVERY SECTION:
Videos: Watch over my shoulder as I solve problems for every single math issue you’ll encounter in class. We start from the beginning… I explain the problem setup and why I set it up that way, the steps I take and why I take them, how to work through the yucky, fuzzy middle parts, and how to simplify the answer when you get it.
Notes: The notes section of each lesson is where you find the most important things to remember. It’s like Cliff Notes for books, but for math. Everything you need to know to pass your class and nothing you don’t.
Quizzes: When you think you’ve got a good grasp on a topic within a course, you can test your knowledge by taking one of the quizzes. If you pass, great! If not, you can review the videos and notes again or ask for help in the Q&A section.
Workbooks: Want even more practice? When you’ve finished the section, you can review everything you’ve learned by working through the bonus workbook. The workbooks include tons of extra practice problems, so they’re a great way to solidify what you just learned in that section.

“There is very clear instructions. I’m learning this before actually taking calculus in college so I can have a deeper understanding of math (I’m a math major). She explains everything very thoroughly and works through every problem as if you’re a beginner. I will say that I am terrible at receiving audible information but brilliant with someone showing me how to do something on a board and she makes it very clear at understanding everything. I am very pleased to have this much course coverage. I feel like I have my own personal tutor without the expense. Btw if you like math, trigonometric identities are fun!” – Christian R.
-
“I am very satisfied with this course. It is very clear, delivers all the interesting topics I like that I am taken from knowing little to actually knowing the calculus including the applied mathematics too. This is only Calculus I but it gives me not only sense of accomplishment and understanding but also the foundation for the future courses.” – Robert B.

“I’m self studying mathematics for my electrical engineering degree and this course has been very VERY helpful. I find myself doing these videos before my homework. It makes me want to keep learning. Thank you Krista.” – Lester S.

Krista King is a phenomenal math teacher. I have learned more here than I did when I took calculus in college. Her courses are clear and easy to follow. Highly recommend her classes on the Udemy platform

I started out trying to learn Calc I from a very popular free (albeit very comprehensive) website, but quickly got frustrated with the way the website was set up. I found this and was BLOWN AWAY by how comprehensive, well structured, and helpful this course was. I will be taking Krista’s other courses (Calc II, III, and Linear Algebra).

Outstanding instruction. Simple, succinct, not too long.
Frederick Barr –
Difficult to read the writing sometimes cant distinguish an L from a 1. Also, this entire course requires a good knowledge of trig and also exponents which was not mentioned in the description.

I purchased the course in 2019 but I left it unfinished many times. This time around though I’m being consistent and already half way through the course, so I think I can comment on the course.
First of all my mathematics basics are pretty clear so I found this course easy to moderately easy, which is a good thing for me. I like the teaching style. The notes and the quiz solutions help a lot to understand the topic in a better manner. I have not touched the extra worksheets as I intend to work on those after I finish the course to test my knowledge and revise at the same time.
All in all I am liking the course a lot and helping me fill out the gaps.

This course was extremely valuable while studying Calc 1 in university. Krista is an excellent instructor and the practice questions were amazing too.

Thank you for the updates to the course content. I had actually started it earlier, a few good months back, but I found the beginning of the course assumed no prior knowledge in a lot of the stuff you learn in high-school. I gave up for a while as it didn’t really keep me engaged. However, since the updates, I want to say the course is many times better & much more engaging. Great work on improving the learning experience for us.
For those who are afraid the new course does not cover the basics, you can still learn them throughout if you put your head to it, but there are also great alternatives such as Khan Academy or other online resources you can check out first. If you are looking to focus on calculus, however, this is the course to get started with.
Looking forward to the other calculus courses and would love to see more advanced maths courses next, especially if related to Physics!

This has helped me so much with my university calculus one. There is no way I would have made it through without Krista!
Ruby Alesi –
This course a very detailed and there is a very thorough explanation of Calc 1. Krista gives you everything you need to do well. She has videos, practice problems, and PDF lessons. There are even explanations at the end of popular Calc problems. Very satisfied with this course. Definitely worth buying. I bought this course to prepare myself for Calc one next semester. It suddenly doesn’t seem so scary to me.

Krista’s lessons, quizzes and other resources formed the basic understanding of calculus for me.

Came here looking for explanations on how to solve very difficult problems since simple ones are easy. Was disappointed there were none, but eventually I went through the basics once again, which are explained in great detail here and thus I filled the gaps in the very fundamentals of various topics, that were holding me back from being able to solve those problems. Now that my basics/fundamentals have no gaps anymore, I no longer get stuck and can treat the difficult problems just like the simple ones, but just a bit more time and effort consuming.

Nice course for Calcuse 1. It not only covers theory but application as well.
