I bought this course a few months ago just for fun. Since I didn’t have much time, it took me a while to learn properly both hiragana and katakana. So, in resume I liked the lessons and I found them easier to learn from them.

I did learn quite a few things with this course. Some things I already knew and I had a small understanding of the writing, but the pitch mark stuff was completely new and interesting to know. Overall yes this is a very good course for beginners and absolute beginners. I’d recommend.

I’m about halfway through the course and so far, I’m really enjoying it! The tutor does a great job explaining the different Hiragana and their pronounciation and writing. He really takes the time for practices and repetitions of the different kana. I’m looking forward to the rest of the course! 🙂 I think (can’t confirm nor deny yet) that the course doesn’t really touch on japanese grammar, so after finishing this one, I might look into other courses from Felicity to learn more about that, but for those who want to start learning japanese and Hiragana as well as Katakana and some vocabulary, this course is perfect! 🙂
