INTUITION MATTERS! Applied Calculus in Engineering: Complete
What you’ll learn
-
You will develop very strong intuition & understanding in Calculus
-
You will learn how to apply Calculus in real life to the level not seen in other courses
I have NEVER believed in simply memorizing things. Your greatest asset in life is time. If you study something, you invest your time in it. If you memorize it, soon you will forget it – that is not a great investment. But if you truly understand something, that stays with you for good – it can serve you for a long time.
This course will give you strong intuition and understanding in Calculus, and you will be trained to apply it in real life. It will stay in your head for good – this is a GREAT investment! Watch some of my free preview videos, enroll in my course, and I will make Calculus second nature to you – that is a promise!
These are the topics that the course covers:
-
Single variable functions
-
Trigonometric functions
-
Multidimensional functions
-
Limits
-
Derivatives – single variable
-
Vectors
-
Transformations
-
Parametric Equations
-
Multivariable Calculus
-
Single variable integrals
-
Multivariable integrals
-
Introduction to Differential Equations & waves in time and frequency domain
-
Calculus in Control Engineering (PID controller & magnetic train simulation)
Most sections contain a small number of free preview videos for you to check out.
The great thing about this course is that it prepares you for pretty much all the other Engineering and Science courses, because Calculus is the basis of everything in this world.
Good luck!

Excellent review of calculus for engineers as well as an intro to PID controllers. I look forward to more of Mark’s courses.

This course is awesome for people liking mathematics:)
Harsha Murupudi –
Awesome work. Thank you for marking the videos.

I am finding this course very interesting and easy to follow. As someone who is not trained in mathematics I needed a course that clearly explains every part of the process and is tailored to me as someone who knows nothing about calculus. If this course can’t teach me calculus then I am sure nothing will! Thank you for a great course.

Currently at video 2. I usually update my ratings the further I watch. This is my second course by Mark. I am already qualified in the field of Mechatronics and probably know the techniques of all these topics but the type of intuition that Mark gave me in his Applied Control Systems for Engineers course forced me to buy this course too. I’ve always wanted some great intuition behind these topics and I am sure I will get it here. In other words, I am here to just have fun listening to the king of engineering speak.

I am a mechanical engineer and 27 years if industrial experience. I loved the method of teaching and very happy to learn Calculus with Python.
Mr Digambar Prakash Dhanagar –
Happy to learn.

Highly recommended course , the best course I have ever encountered in Udemy . If are studying calculus right now or if you basics of calculus have got a bit rusty , You must go through this course . The instructor has put too much effort in all of the sections of this course trying to explain the concepts of calculus in Engineering Intuitively. Above all the instructor is very responsive to all the queries.

The lecturer is nice in teaching

Awesome! This Course a true insight what it’s all about with mathematics as thee tool.

I’m using this course as a refresher for Maths during my engineering degree 20+ years ago. Excellent course, would have liked to see some content on logs and complex numbers for 5 stars.

The instructors has a great level when it comes to the topics covered but the delivery of the contents is very poor, the lessons are not well structured according to formal lesson plans and there’s a lot of improvisation during the classes, which is not good for a recorded online curse subjected to video editing. Instead correction on the go during the video for every mistake, edition or re recording of the lesson is preferable. I’m still doing the curse as a refresher since the examples and the basic approach is good, I hope for improvement on delivery on this curse, it would be a waste if not considering the quality of the examples on intuition aproach. Also it will be a good idea to change the paper sheet and black pen for a pad and to put a little bit of production value to the videos and edit the videos on a proper way.
