It gives a good foundation as a Shopify expert. He is a very good communicator. The interface is outdated but I eventually figured out how it applied to the current interface. It gave a good tip about switching to a plan early and then you have full access to things and if you quit quick enough you don’t have to pay anything.

A great course. It gives you a starting point on your way to becoming an expert. It does not make you an expert. The instructor did a great job in 5 hours and now the student can take the lead and learn more. The course should remove the word ‘expert’ It should mention Liquid and the need for some CSS and HTML.

I bought this course after trying to set up a Shopify store on my own and the course has given me many good ideas to improve my store.
The teacher is knowledge about the subject and does a job walking thru the many setup options on Shopify’s website. He presents things in an energetic and understandable style and I found him just as interesting at the end of the course as I did at the beginning (which almost never happens with the other Udemy courses I’ve bought).
The course could make better use of repetition as the teacher often says something like “surely you remember how to do (something) by now.” even though we’ve only seen it once somewhere previous in the course. This was the only thing that frustrated me a little bit about the course.
Because Shopify allows so much customization, it would also be very helpful if the course added a short video comparing a great Shopify online store to a bad Shopify store, with commentary about what’s good and what’s bad.
The pieces are generally discussed as the course goes along, but we don’t really ever get a view of the final finished target to shoot for.
All in all, I would highly recommend this course to anyone starting out in Shopify.
