HDR Photography Tutorial. Learn To Creating Stunning HDR
Course Duration: 3 Hours – 30 Lessons
In this High Dynamic Range (HDR) Photography Training Video, expert trainer, digital guru, and photographer Andy Anderson takes you through the process of shooting and processing HDR images. HDR techniques allow you to capture a better photography representation of the intensity levels found in scenes, and can produce the most amazing images you have ever seen.
Covering the complete process from camera to output, this training video is built for someone who has no HDR experience whatsoever. Andy starts by explaining exactly what HDR is, but quickly moves into the details of taking your shots, and the techniques involved there. After the pictures are taken, you will of course have to know how to merge and manipulate them to create your HDR image – Andy has you covered. Using Photomatix you will learn to tone map, deal with missing exposure data, and remove ghosts in your merge. Andy teaches you how to work around the many pitfalls you could run into with HDR, all for he purpose of creating the best High Dynamic Range photographs that you could want.
By the conclusion of this computer based training video on High Dynamic Range Photography, you will be fully versed in what HDR is, and how to create your own HDR images. With over 2 GB of working files – including raw images to practice your own HDR techniques on, you will be able to follow along with Andy Anderson step by step as he teaches you how to create HDR images.

A really good and very quick lecture on what HDR is and how you can use it in PhotoShop and PhotoMatix. Instructor is really good and keeps you interested throughout. Well worth the few days time (broken up).

Great lectures on HDR. However when he ventures into PS if you don’t have a working knowledge of it you may get lost. Suggest you do a PS course and then re-do this course. But……enjoyed it very much. Thanks Andy!

This course was everything I wanted and more, it went so much more in depth then I could have hoped for without ever being too much information. It was put together extremely well and taught by a very charismatic individual.

This new tutorial is an excellent resource. I really like taking this course. Basically, it covers HDR and its many uses.

This is my second course that Mr Anderson taught, he is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructor. Using example and with the use of both Photoshop and Photomatix he explained and demonstrated his points. I had used HDR before but his course opened more ways to reach finished project that is my effort and not like the standard..

Andy Anderson gives very clear and concise information about HDR image editing and suitable computer software in which to achieve this. He is very knowledgable and experienced in photography and Adobe Photoshop, which comes across in his tuition.
I enjoyed this course and learn’t a good deal form it.

This course has some good information in it. Unfortunately for me in particular it wasn’t very helpful, because:
– it covers Photomatix and Adode Merge To HDR Pro, whereas I’m using Lightroom’s native HDR mixing
– he uses a Nikon, whereas I have a Canon
– I too work in software so I already knew all about binary. 🙂
However it’s still a pretty well-paced course showing how to do various nifty things. It has a lot of information that can be generalized, so I got some helpful tips from it.

The instructor presented the course in an easy to understand and follow format. Attention to detail and post processing options were a great help.

Andy explains the many features of the different software in a very precise yet informal way that is easy to follow and understand. It has certainly changed my usage of Photomatrix. I don’t have the Photoshop program anyway as i think it is way too big for just doing HDRbut will be looking to use free alternatives like GIMP

Some of it was good and useful information and mostly it was explained clearly but not all of it was useful or necessary in my opinion. I have no interest in using the Photomatix program so all of that wasn’t useful for me. And the switching between Photomatix and Photoshop seemed unnecessarily complicated when it all could have been done in Photoshop. There was also some filler in this course.

Explanations were very detailed and are building a solid base of understanding.

Great course and definitely worth the money and time. Some good tips and tricks and nice to see Photomatix as well as Photoshop. Only thing is he’s using old versions of software so its not quite the same but if you’re savvy you can follow along fine.
