Here’s a bit about me and Filmmaking and Video Production Hacks:
This course houses a collection of short films by international award winning writer/director Alex Ferrari, founder of Indie Film Hustle. He exploded onto the indie film scene with his break-through film BROKEN.
Shot on a budget of just $8000 and boasting over 100 visual FX shots, BROKEN became an instant indie film classic. He went on to sell over to $90,000 in DVDs by self distributing BROKEN.
He followed up BROKEN with the sweet and spicy film CYN, followed by the adrenalin filled Red Princess Blues (Starring Academy Award® Nominee Robert Forster (Jackie Brown), Richard Tyson (Black Hawk Down), Rachel Grant (James Bond 007).
These films have screened in over 600 international film festivals and have won countless awards around the world. I also share you you my 6 Secrets to get into Film Festival Cheap or FREE!
The critics agree:
“BROKEN is essentially a demonstration of the mastery of horror imagery and techniques…effective and professional.” – Roger Ebert (Chicago SunTimes)

Randy Hendricks –
This is an insightful and refreshing revelation of what it takes to produce a short. What a rich learning experience. Thank you.
Senthuran –
good course, i really enjoyed it. I would have love to have a lecture of the creative process involved in writing a screenplay
I’m Here –
A ton of great information included derived from actual experience and a get-in-there-and-get-it-done perspective. Lots of value here.
Marek Welzel –
This is not a learning coures but movie and company advertising made as backstage. So it should never be in coure area. Total waste of time… In fact the production, even that probably costed a lot of efford looks as amateur. Not because of video effects but actors and mainly the script. I have seen much more short movies and advertisemetns that were much better. I can understand that awards are for vide effets and team angagement, because the rest is crap. Nothing to learn, nothing interesting to watch.
Oliver Rehm –
Easy to watch and entertaining but It is more of a promotion and behind the scene material rather than educational. I would question it qualifies as education or training and is not what I was looking for.
Luigi Caldarola –
Great!!!!
Greg Flakus –
While the films look great and the stories about making them are interesting, after you have seen a film three or four times with different commentary it starts getting tedious. Also, the sound levels keep changing. For 15 minutes or so the commentator can barely be heard and you crank up your volume and then, suddenly, he or she is speaking louder. Filmmakers of this calibre should not produce a video with audio deficits. Another problem is lack of visuals showing the process of making the film. When they talk about the great job their sound guy did it would have been nice to see something like the mixer he used on set, the boom mic and how it was placed or law mics if those were used. I would also have liked to learn more about how they lit the scenes.
Robert Tovey –
This course provides a lot of handy information about making and promoting a short film with great working examples to learn from.
Adam Presley –
This course has LOTS of content. The instructor, Alex, is very knowledgeable, and the course offers a ton of behind the scenes and commentary. I do wish there was a bit more “instructional” aspect in some parts, but overall a good course. I did find the marketing aspect especially good.
Keith Kroell –
I’m not sure I would rate it as I expected, but I completed the course anyway. There is little actual instruction here. Most of the content is discussion between the film producer and individuals related to the productions he has made. It6s worthwhile, but as I indicated its not what I had expected.
Gaurav Goel –
yes this course helps in analyzing the problems and issues that one has to take care of especially when u are shooting on a budget thanks
Shri Krishna Venugopalan –
All they have done is to take their old short films’ dvds together. Although I won’t deny that there is an opportunity to learn here, but it definitely isn’t worth the price. There are plenty of filmmaking courses on Udemy that are much better. This is just a bunch of old products recycled for churning out more money from them.
