It’s a bit slow compared to what I’m used with Davies, but I guess it’s because I know most of the early material.
Picked up a few things though.
one thing that was a bit unconvincing is the discussion on bit depths… specifically, it’s nonsensical to reason in terms of number of colors.
The focus point should be rounding errors and dynamic range all the way… but I guess it’s because I’m a computer wizz.
(formats like openexr and the original demo images were great to explain that: they show as usual on the screen, but since they have a much higher dynamic range than your usual image, you can tweak the exposure to an extent you couldn’t do on usual pictures)

Mike, I feel you did a great job with your format of teaching. I was able to follow the course although, being new at this it is really too much information to take in so quickly. I’m glad I can come back to reference the material any time I need to. I never realized how much stuff that this program was capable of. I’m not a photographer but I wanted to learn more about this program so I could use it in conjunction with Inkscape. Still have a lot to learn about both programs but at least it’s keeping me out of trouble…LOL! Thanks, Kenny

Some of the components are out of sequence ie the assessment included questions on material that was covered afterwards, but that is a very minor quibble because it’s being updated continuously which means it stays relevant!
