Boris is a great teacher! The course allows a student to acquire knowledge in a systematical way. First good foundations (thoroughly explained), then buiding up on those fundations. After the entire course I’m sure I can continue learning VBA having very solid background.
Additinally I have already bought more Boris’s courses as I’m sure they will provide me with solid background

Whole course was very easy to understand and explained in details. It would be nice to have more tasks or code to write by myself so I can test after each chapter.
Jose Dominguez –
Very good course, the author explains things in a very clear way.
I would suggest Boris to consider including some lessons about calling other pieces of software from Excel, like for example running python/matlab scripts or external libraries from Excel. Simply calling them without needing the user to actually open python/matlab etc.
I think that would be very valuable to extend Excel’s reach when it comes to complex calculations.
Excellent course in any case!

Very good for Excel users looking to take their Excel skills to the next level and learn all the basics of coding along the way. As with learning any coding language, you will need to put in some time on the side to work on your own projects and commit the concepts to memory, but Boris does a great job explaining everything you need to get there.

Good introductory course on VBA programming in Excel.
It is a high-level general intro, but quite useful to get started with VBA, which is a pretty complex environment.

If you want a serious introduction from an exceptionally talented and VERY thorough teacher, then stop looking at other courses and buy this one.

He has great info but he goes way too fast. It’s way too frantic. What’s with some of these instructors who feel like they have to ramble through the material as fast as they can, it’s like they’re rushing through it. Just reading from a script as fast as they can, instead of speaking naturally. I had the same issue with the course from Daniel Strong. So far the best VBA course I’ve taken here is from IsaBel, she actually speaks at a normal human pace.
I edited my 3 star rating down to a 1.5. I mean, if the purpose is to instill this knowledge into beginners, I can’t give him credit for how much he knows about the subject (which is a lot, obviously). If the main objective isn’t being met (to actually teach *beginners*) then the mission has failed. Not everyone has the ability to take the knowledge that’s in their heads and output it in an understandable way. Makes me appreciate actual instructors/teachers even more. Just because you have a course on Udemy doesn’t mean you can teach, or that you should be.

Very nice course. The pacing was great, and Boris really broke down most of the core of what I was hoping for. If I have one small gripe is that there weren’t enough “assignments”. The ones that were there were great, and really challenged me to put my skills to use, but there simply weren’t enough of them – especially later in the course. I ended up doing most of the tinkering on my own just to make sure that I understood the material and could use it in ways that I thought would be usefu.

I really enjoyed the lessons paired with following along with my own Excel software opened up. I also appreciate the quizzes which force me to apply what I learnt. This testing of application should help me use it for a professional job.

The course was good, at the end the instructor covers things very fast.
