Understand key principles of posture, balance, breathing and movement foundational relevant to both Tai Chi and Qigong
Qigong movements help promote a tranquil mind, decreased stress, and improved health. These beautiful, simple moves are easily attainable with Susan’s approach and ease of instruction. All Qigong movements are soft, gentle and flowing, yet challenging at the same time. Qigong and Tai Chi are often referred to as “meditation through movement” because one’s mind becomes quieted through engaging in the movements of slowness and fluidity.
Each movement has specific inherent medical benefits. There is more and more medically based research supporting the benefit of Qigong and Tai Chi for:
- healing
- boosting the immune system
- increasing energy
- reducing pain
- increasing strength and balance
- reducing stress and anxiety
Anyone can perform the movements, regardless of age or fitness level. There is no getting up and down off of the floor, no holding of awkward postures, and no extreme stretching or pushing of one’s body into discomfort. Rather, we respect our body and remain in a comfort zone of movement throughout .
The movements flow from one to the other, generating a gentle flow of “Qi” in our bodies. This “Qi”, or life force/energy, creates an environment of healing, both mentally and physically, prompting a calmness, internal peace and cultivating both inner and external strength.
Who this course is for:
- Anyone who desires to bring a bit of tranquility and stress reduction into their lives
- You will always move within your comfort, so it accessible to all no matter fitness or ability level
- Can be performed seated
- For beginners as an introduction to Qigong and Tai Chi principles
- For more advanced practitioners for deepening internal principles of Tai Chi and Qigong

This is a good match for me. All the instructors moves are very visible, her voice is very understandable and the mirror image presentation is easy to follow. Thank you, Susan Thompson!!

Great course. Very good explanation of the forms. Perfect pace. I especially like the format of each form presented individually as well as presented as a routine with both verbal queues and without verbal queues. One suggestion is to subtitle each form in Lesson 26 to serve as a visual clue as to the next form coming up.

Lovely teaching style. I have taken Qi Gong classes offline and I actually preferred learning from this teacher. She explains the poses in a way that you will understand and creates a strong visual and physiological image. I also loved that she filmed this course out in nature. Highly recommended.

Susan is an excellent teacher/instructor. Her verbal explanations followed by the actual movements makes learning fun and easy. I especially like the fact that I can stop the video at any point and replay a particular movement over and over until I get it right. Every morning without exemption I practice the 18 Qigong movements. Qigong gives me a feeling of peace , happiness and well being. Thank you Susan for showing me a new way of life.

I already have her Tai Chi video and it is wonderful. I knew this would be equally great based on what I already do. The thing I like best is the pace and that she breaks down the movements into small sections so it is easier to learn. Best instructor I’ve found.

I enjoyed the course very bc much. The only thing that was unclear to me was what foot position I was supposed to use. Some moves felt as though you should slightly turn your feet but there was no mention and I couldn’t quite see

I love that she explains and shows the stance, posture and movements. Also that she reminds me not to go beyond my comfort zone. Amazing! I feel calm, peaceful, refreshed and energized!

This is exactly the course every beginner to Qigong and Taichi should sign up for. it’s as good as having personal instruction. Everything is explained clearly. All I have to do now is practice everyday and be consistent. This course is clearly a labor of love by the instructor and it shows. Value for Money.

This is a great course for beginners, if you’re new to health-based martial arts. Susan’s teaching style is clear, memorable, and her movements are easy to see. I liked the format of teaching, because Susan goes through each form carefully, then does the whole practice with verbal cues, and then she puts it all together and you go through it from beginning to end flowing from the first move to the last. I looked everywhere online for a good full Qigong practice and this is the best. I’ve been doing the course for about a week and I already feel the benefits. I really enjoyed this course.
