Why should you learn from me? Why trust me to teach you the best ways to use Docker? (Hi, I’m Bret, please allow me to talk about myself for a sec):
-
I’m A Practitioner. Welcome to the real world: I’ve got 20 years of sysadmin and developer experience, over 30 certifications, and have been using Docker and the container ecosystem for my consulting clients and my own companies since Docker’s early days. Learn from someone who’s run hundreds of containers across dozens of projects and organizations.
-
I’m An Educator. Learn from someone who knows how to make a syllabus: I want to help you. People say I’m good at it. For the last few years, I’ve trained thousands of people on using Docker in workshops, conferences, and meetups. See me teach at events like DockerCon, O’Reilly Velocity, GOTO Conf, and Linux Open Source Summit. I hope you’ll decide to learn with me, and join the fantastic online Docker community.
-
I Lead Communities. Also, I’m a Docker Captain, meaning that Docker Inc. thinks I know a thing or two about Docker and that I do well in sharing it with others. In the real-world: I help run two local meetups in our fabulous tech community in Norfolk/Virginia Beach USA. I help online: usually in Slack and Twitter, where I learn from and help others.
“Because of the Docker Mastery course, I landed my first DevOps job. Thank you Captain!” – Student Ronald Alonzo
“There are a lot of Docker courses on Udemy — but ignore those, Bret is the single most qualified person to teach you.” – Kevin Griffin, Microsoft MVP

The teach assistant cannot give a certain answer to the question or topic, is true we can investigate the question before making it.. but the Q&A section is for helping use to achieve understand that point of view that make us stressfull and overwhelming.
Bred is manific explaining in the videos but… the teach assistant… forget it.
Omar Jamal –

Vikas Kumar –
Amazing course on Docker from beginner to advanced level. In starting of this course I was having little to no knowledge but now I feels confident in this area.
Thanks Bret for this course.
Mario Pepinós –
Well explained, I have paid for this course because in. my job we are implementing some dockers features in azure, so with this course I can solve many tasks to do. Very thanks. I’m Mario cheers from Ecuador.
Alonso Isidoro Roman –
A very complete and very dense course with many concepts that will surely have to be seen more than once to be able to take advantage of them. I think Bret is continually updating the course with new content, something great, as the course is noted to start back in 2018 and I have seen more or less new content, from 2020. Bret’s style is very nice, great idea to bring in other folks showing their demos, as well as finally commenting on folks’ Dockerfile files. I missed some more examples, like java apps, scala, big data, kafka. It would be great if there was a place where we could all share these best practices when creating Dockerfile files, a community beyond asking on Stackoverflow or on the official Docker forum or Bret’s forum.

I started from absolute zero, so for me it was great. I learned a lot, and course was perfectly challenging for me. I was able to get through the exercises with just the right amount of work. Hard, but never quite got to hopeless.
I have no way of judging the amount of course content (did it cover enough, was it missing important pieces, etc.) because of my complete lack of experience in this area. However, it did exactly what I needed and got me up to speed in a way I really appreciated.
Thiru Ck –
Comprehensive course. A 360 degree view of docker, its advantages and things to be cautious about. Overall a very holistic course.
Rhobin Jay Faigones –
Got this course on sale and I can say it was totally worth it. Covers a wide range of topics focused on the important ones. If you are like me who cares more about practicality more than just lectures for it to be called “complete”, then this course is for you!
Nam PT –
Your course is so impressive. You instruct my brain step by step though all abstract concepts. helped me being not so confused.
Paul DuBois –
This course is well worth the money. I learned the basics of Docker, and was introduced to Kubernetes.
The Kubernetes section was mostly theoretical, but was enough for me at this point.
Also, the content is a bit old, but updated enough to be relevant, and most of what is taught is generalized anyway.
I appreciated learning from Bret who is active in the container world, and learned a lot of tips and tricks.
CorvusVibeZ –
Really good course for complete Docker beginners!
Bret explains every topic pretty detailed and well!
