Taking this course was super helpful for both my trauma and mental health recovery and I will certainly be referring back to this course in the future. Loved how practical it was.

Although the teacher is kind well intentioned and clearly wants to help people in need, this course, her way of teaching and her understanding of the skills is inefficient. It’s disorganised, doesn’t clearly explain each skill or what it’s for or how to use it. It’s like someone who sort of knows why DBT is about talking about the skills ether than someone who actually knows amd understands them teaching them. If she re studied them and spent time.creating a structured clear lesson for each skill her kindness and gentleness, her welcoming nature would make for an invaluable asset for those with BPD. But as is it’s more harmful than helpful as it confuses the matter which is the last thing those in crisis need.

Not concise, no editing, not good value, could have covered the fundamentals of DBT in 6 hours, instead this only covers distress tolerance skills. Too much fluff just to get basic information. Tough going. Then again, its one of the only shows in town. Just buy a book, it will cost you less and you’ll get the fundamentals and you’ll suffer less.

I absolutely loved her class! very in-depth but also easy to comprehend, she also dose an amazing job at introducing innovative DBT skills, so even if you have a previous certification I highly recommend her classes.
