Debbie Ainsworth –
As a novice, I found the instruction on lenses very helpful. I learned which alternative brands are good, and which are not, and at which mm. I think I finally understand the difference between an F-stop and focal length. I learned which lenses would be best for the type of photography I want to do … pictures of my art, which would be a flat surface right up against a background … so, that’s important. And even though I knew better, I did rush out and buy a used EF-S 18-135mm from Ebay. But thanks to Jeremy’s excellent lecture on buying used lenses, I knew just what to check for and am now confident that I bought a good, quality lens.

This course is excellent. Absolutely brilliant!
The explaination is very clear and straight to the point throughout.
He explains about the focal point, the Aperture, the F number, how the lens works and much more.
So many of the main lenses are covered in detail.
Although this course is specific to Canon DSLR, once one has finished the course, he or she should be able to translate the information when selecting lenses for a different make of DSLR cameras as the basic concept remain the same.
The resource files provided are very good.
