I thoroughly enjoyed the course content, a variety of teachers and subjects led me down paths I have not explored in as much detail. For example the study of the Bhagavad Gita is something I have tried to do for many years without much success or understanding but having an experienced spiritual teacher ‘translate’ some of the stories and teachings has been fascinating. The sound therapy stuff was amazing mainly due to the vast knowledge and calm presentation of the teacher – had me captivated. I would have liked a bit of homework to do – just to consolidate my understanding. I would say this is for someone with a good solid physical and spiritual yoga practice who wants to go a little deeper. Definitely not your run of the mill yoga course!!

American Yoga is flooded with asana, but few teachers have the knowledge base and capacity to offer the context and philosophy behind the practice. This course does just that. Raghu puts together a stellar program by bringing in lecturers who not only practice yoga, but live it, too. As a graduate student studying yoga from an academic perspective, this course not only brings to light the muddied and challenging history and context of yoga’s story, but also adds a spiritual element that is missing from scholarly readings. I can not recommend this course enough.

I believe this was some of the best yoga training I have invested in. The history, stories, and insights on the sacred texts added and incredible dimension to my studies. And the classes were FLY!!!

I love that these lectures are available. This is a great refresher of what I learned in my YTT program. It helps me keep up with my studies and is a valuable resource for reasonable money.
Josh Cooper –
Very knowledgeable facilitator and guests. Really enjoying this. It’s a different perspective and approach to yoga than what I have seen elsewhere.

The course exceeded my expectations, because it not only provided in-depth instruction on the history of yoga, the Mahabharata and the Bhagavad Gita, but also introduced quite a few things, that I had not been aware of: Kirtan, the power of sound and a highly advanced inversion practice.
Hanna von Hafenbrädl –
It is difficult to follow as the sounds are often not audible and in the next moment the are very loud. I love the content ❤️

The sound of instruments at the end was really a great pleasure. He gives his knowledge during his speech very clear to the audience. As a yoga teacher I am happy because I already use this methods of sound in my class and is big satisfaction to listen from someone with his knowledge that this is the right path .
