Lot of info, sometimes overwhelming because the program Motion 5 has a lot to offer. I have taken several lessons twice or more. I think this is a very good training for understanding Motion 5

The version of Motion being taught is outdated. I have Motion 5.3 which makes it difficult to know what is being discussed because the configuration has changed so much.

So far most is understandable. On some complicated procedures the narration and examples happen a little too fast, or there is an assumption that you have studied photoshop or have more experience than one has. But I’m still working through the course. I might change my mind by the time I’m through.

Losing the File Browser in the latest version of Apple Motion has made some of the tutorials here harder to follow. If a note could be added that would be great OR a follow-up tutorial/s with other ways to import files. Some of the example file formats are no longer supported in Motion 5 (eg: firstLook.MOV file in Lesson 15 – use the same name file from lesson 13 instead). Some button positions have changed with the later version of the software 5.4.1 but you can complete the course

It hasn´t been updated in a while, nonetheless, an excelent course!
No ha sido actualizado desde hace tiempo, sin embargo un excelente curso!

Thus far it has been a good experience. I really enjoy the in depth and clear explanation of all the keyboard short cuts and abilities.

The course is great and really helpful.
The version of Motion and current version has changed a bit so some of the toolbar buttons are positioned at different locations.

It was very good. Learnt a lot of information and I am looking forward to applying it to my work. Thank you. My only ‘criticism’ would be the trainer’s version of Motion is quite a bit older than the current version so sometimes it became hard to follow. but more often than not it was fine.

Old version of Motion. Dated look.
Mark A Cheverton –
This has not been updated to ver. 5.5

It was very informative even though it was on an older version then current. I wish there was more on animating with 3d objects and using USDZ

My experience is that this is a wonderful course. It is very comprehensive and explains and demonstrates everything I need to start using Motion. There are many topics that seem like I won’t need them at first, but I’m comfortable that I’ll be able to return to the video and watch them when I need a review.
My only [slight] negative comment is that there’s a strong emphasis on the keyboard shortcuts. Since I was focused on learning techniques, I don’t think that I’ve learned any of the shortcuts. I think, as a beginner, what would have helped me more is to constant see the button or menu command used to reinforce my memory on how to find and apply each of the features.
Overall, thanks for a wonderful class and a great learning environment.
