This is great look into the depths of OSX Mavericks on the mac. In a series of 93 concise and well-thought-out videos, with great examples, the deeper aspects of OSX Mavericks are brought out for discovery and use. As an experienced Windows users, I found that the mac OSX was a bit mysterious, and that certain tasks eluded me. But now I feel more confident in using my iMac and OSX. I recommend this course for all users who have a basic knowledge of computers and some knowledge of programming basics.
1 Feb 15 Course has added several chapters for OSX Yosemite where different from Mavericks. The best just got better.

Overall this is a pretty good course for both people who haven’t used MAC OS before or people who have some basic knowledge of it. I’d recommend the overall course but it depends on your needs. There are quite a few technical topics covered here that may not be important for regular users. I wish it covered more of Mac’s hidden productivity tools, keyboard hot key customization, etc.

This is a fairly thorough coverage of OS X, suitable for those with some background in another OS or beginning familiarity with Mac OS. Built to allow following along, but clear enough that understanding is easily possible with just the instructor’s demo.
The content is organized is a reasonable way and flows more or less naturally. Distinction is made between versions 10.9 and 10.10 wherever there are even minor or UI-only differences, which is excellent for helping clarity.
Depending on your background, some technical topics will require additional reading or research (e.g. Disk Volumes, Terminal commands, automation), where the focus is on the Mac OS X interface and how it presents these features, rather than explaining those separate technical topics in detail. This is usually a positive thing, as it prevents the course from veering away from the core topics or getting too technical or specific for portion of its audience.
Lots of references are provided, although they are mostly Apple support articles and some are defunct.
