The instructor speaks clearly and is easy to understand. There is no presumption of prior knowledge and each chapter is therefore suitable for new users. The course is designed so that the pupil can return to subjects a number of times until they are fully understood. It is also possible ask questions using the dashboard.
John Woodal –
Great detail assuming student knows nothing about program. I tried earlier versions of elements in the past but was frustrated by it’s complexity, so I switched to other easier programs. But photoshop is the one that is copied, so I occasionally got the urge to try it again. So far in this course I have learned to do so much that many people would be happy to settle on this. However, I am encouraged to complete this course and look forward to all the great things I will be able to do to my photos.
I have completed the course and have learned many interesting procedures. I have already used my imagination with some of what I learned here to create unique images. I look forward to practicing what I learned and also to occasionally coming back to sections of the course to review certain procedures. Overall, I am very happy with the outcome.

Toby provides enough info to make it much easier for me to match something(s) I can use to improve my photo files; seeing them used is such a relief for me.
Bernard J. Bonner –
I am beginning to find the information helpful. I use a Macintosh computer, so I have had to do a little of my own exploring to figure some things out (e.g., using the mouse and the mac control button to delete photos from my catalogue). I have not yet figured out how to eliminate an unwanted catalogue, however.
I found that some skills using layers I have had to review more than once. I had some experience with layers, however I am trying with this course to significantly improve these. The course has been somewhat less helpful with these topics. On the other hand, I have been using competencies I have gained through the course with a high level of satisfaction.

I’m an editing newbie and Toby did an excellent job of presenting in a way that was helpful and understanding
Peter –
clear speech, unhurried, sounds natural and it is easy to warm to Toby. Of course we haven’t started the technical stuff yet, but so far very good.
Now finished and words can not express how impressed I am with this entire programme of tutorials. Everything about is professional and exceptional value for money……..I recommend anyone trying to master essential Photoshop skills to undertake this course…….several times! – I am about to start it all over again!
Derek Ireland –
I had never used Photoshop elements before, this course was suggested to me after I had completed a photography course.
I am really enjoying this course, it is very easy to follow and the instructor explains each task/section very clearly without getting too technical. I’m roughly half way through the course now and feel confident in the sections I’ve completed so far. A great feature of these courses is you get lifetime access to them so you can always go back to sections to refresh your memory and can go through each section more than once if you feel you haven’t quite grasped a particular section. I have already started to edit some of my own images using what I’ve learnt so far and am very happy with the results.
Edit 28/11/2017 I have just completed the last section of this course – this second half has expanded on previous sections and shown how to put all I’ve learnt into practice. There was a really useful section that shows how to recover missing/damaged files and repair catalogues. I’m really glad that I took the time to do this course, the knowledge I have gained will help me a lot in the future, I love working with photoshop elements 15 now that I understand how to use it!
Jim Richardson –
I had played on my own with PSE 14 and 15 for over a year, but I found this course really worthwhile as it took me through step by step so that it all hangs together so much better for me.
I will certainly be dipping back into it to refresh my memory at times.
The examples given.
The Presenter Toby had obviously done his work in building a coherent flow that took you on a journey that was enhanced and made realistic by using his own images.
Thank You.
I guess you get it – i LOVED IT.
Walt Huffaker –
Even though the course seems to be slow, it is definitely thourough and I’m pleased at the new information and techniques that I’ve learned. I’m anxious to continue with the course.
Kerry Davis Walker –
The course was very thorough but as previously mentioned the only thing I would say is when an exercise is set rather than just point the pupil to the answer photo it would be good for the tutor to show on line how the answer is achieved. I think this would be beneficial.
Stewart Flint –
A really useful course that covers the basic functionality of Photoshop elements with significant emphasis on the Organiser to help organise photos. The exercises throughout the course were easy to follow. The instructor emphasises the need to review and work though additional material that is available via the Adobe online help.
Rushawn Engleton –
The instructor does a great job of providing a detailed overview of the PSE. The material is easy to understand, especially for beginners. After completing the course, I felt comfortable interacting with the software.
