So far, I am able to follow most of the training. It would be helpful that after a certain section, there would be an exercise for us to do. This helps to reinforce what was just taught.

I really liked the course! I had no previous knowledge on Adobe captivate and now I can create a simple project. I specificly had this course in order to built up my skills and get my dreamy internship.

I haven’t used Captivate in over 5 years. The ‘responsive project’ chapter was a bit overwhelming because I didn’t have a foundation of this type of project. You might consider moving this after chapter 5 to ease people into this functionality. Otherwise the first 5 chapters were a good refresher for me.

Great explanation, telling us relevant things we need to know and not dwelling on basic things for too long

I’ve been following the videos in order. I’m impressed with the quality and getting a lot out of it. I know what I’d like to focus on, but, taking it through the first time in order presented.

Pretty good. Definitely learning a lot, but a lot of it is based on me trying things out after he glosses over them. Sometimes he’ll just read the names of the options I can choose, which is kind of like, yeah! I can read! But what does clicking that option DO for me. But again, maybe this course is more about sparking an interest and having learners try it out themselves than it is about actual explanations.

The instructor should make a presentation from start to finish. This course is basically just showing where the controls are and the functions of the different buttons. Not very helpful for me.
Yuritzi Rodríguez Romero –
well explained course

The first few sections focused on the main functions of the programme. However it felt more like just a verbal run through of all the buttons. Users could also mouse over the keys to find out almost the same thing. For a beginner who have no experience with the software, I think it would be better to see the functions in action as well, perhaps by building a course using these functions. It was difficult for me to imagine it through verbal explanations only. The later part of the course was easier to understand because a semi-course setup was used to explain things. Some parts were very fast too, had to watch it a few times. Captivate seems to be not very intuitive so a slower explanation would have been easier to follow. Overall I have gained a good overview of the programme. Thanks.

Yes, it was a good match. I just need to have software to work on while I listen to the instructor to make the information meaningful and hands-on. The lessons are explained, demonstrated, and presented well, I appreciate the opportunity and feel fortunate to take these online courses.
