Wow, I am lost for words! This course has simply changed my entire perspective on how to face job interviews and deal with the entire application process. This is a MUST for anyone who wants to nail a juniour job, especially young recent accounting graduates! It covers all the key areas which are essential for the beginners to understand the practical accounting world, I know for a fact I’ll definitely be applying these tips and knowledge i gain when I apply for jobs to trading houses in the next coming months!

I work in an accounting office with no specific accounting duties. Your course helped me to gain more confidence so I can learn to utilize my knowledge. Thank you for all your great effort to help those who need.

I enjoyed this course. It is short and straight to the point. I recommend it to everyone who wants to know more about accounting. Plus, you get a Certificate! It’s worth it!
Carla Nesbitt –
It was very informative. It was like a review of my Career Development class. I had forgotten some of these things!

This course was horrible. It used terms that an ordinary person wouldn’t understand. The course “skimmed” over key factors. I think more information regarding a Financial Statement should have been provided. There should have been information that laid out the difference between what function and role AP & AR play in accounting and what abou Journal Entries. Honestly this was a very “high level” presentation and if a person that does not have any accounting experience think for a second that they will get hired by looking at this video, they’re sadly mistaken.

This course is a waste of time and money. If you did not already know this stuff, why are you looking for a job in accounting/bookkeeping? This course does not give any information regarding how to “get hired [in accounting] without work experience.” I am indeed running face-first into the “permission paradox” described in the course overview, but this course offers no assistance in overcoming that hurdle. ZERO. I am calling this what it is: SCAM.
I have four professional certifications from the NACPB, as well as QBO ProAdvisor status, and have 100% been applying ALL of this already, as it is standard job search stuff, nothing new, and no interviews. I have a resume that has been critiqued and rewritten. Compelling cover letter. And what do I hear as to why no interviews? “Not enough real-world experience.” The information is extremely basic, and out of touch with the real world of career change. Maybe if you are a recent graduate, the first section could be useful. But you’d find the same info for free through a search engine. The course is almost an insult to people who are genuinely wondering how to overcome the “permission paradox,” as most of them would be career changers, as I myself am. This reminds me of something akin to a career day workshop at a middle or high school.
If it is possible, I’d like my money back. A special congratulations to Mayooran Senthilmani for duping me out of $10 that would have been much better spent elsewhere. I hope this course is not indicative of the quality of courses indexed on Udemy as a whole…
Also, why is a course geared toward the British being advertised to Americans? FASB sets GAAP in the US, not the IASB…but this was missing from the course too. Don’t expect to learn anything you wouldn’t learn from a wikipedia article.

The course spends more time on CV & linkedin than actual accounting. Moreover, the questions after the videos are rarely discussed in the video. I’d suggest anyone to rather get a book or read online

It was useful but some of the links to the additional resources are not working such as Payroll training and others.
