UPDATE: The entire course was updated to use React Hooks, Async/Await and better overall code.
This is NOT an “Intro to React” or “Intro to Node” course. It is a practical hands on course for building an app using the incredible MERN stack. I do try and explain everything as I go so it is possible to follow without React/Node experience but it is recommended that you know at least the basics first.
Who this course is for:
- Anyone that wants to learn how to build and deploy a full stack MERN application

Really enjoyed this course. It’s 12 hours long but took me a few weeks as I keep a programming journal of all my courses so I have something to go back to reference. And when it came to redux and a few other things, I would stop and read up or watch tutorials on what they are.
I have noticed a few complaints in the Q&A section that Brad goes too fast or doesn’t explain the concepts. I would wholeheartedly disagree with this because it’s up to YOU as the student to do further reading, no different to a lecture at university.
Will and the other TA’s have been fantastic and patient when answering questions with a really fast turnaround. Brad has a great team here that he should be proud of.
It’s one thing doing the course and understanding the concepts, now time to test it out and create a simple movie discussion forum to cement in the concepts
All the best guys

Loaded course that touches on all the main aspects of MERN. I wish I knew more about basics of Node.js and React, but I’m still glad I took it! I got to learn a lot.

Good way of explanation, but this video can use a update, since some of the codes doesn’t work. Also the source code is quite differnece, but fortunately, you can find the original code of this video.

This course is already outdated in 2021, everything is under-explained. Disappointed with a paid course as this is only a simple project that could have been explained more in depth for the beginners. The only good thing is that Brad did hire someone to help out in Q&A, the support is good.
